Am I making a difference with the liberty I now possess? This should be a question we ask ourselves daily, not only should we ask it, but we should examine ourselves to see where we are. It is easy to shout, I am free! But, why do we find it difficult to demonstrate our freedom in Christ? Let’s look at two reasons you were granted freedom.
Two reasons why God granted you freedom are:
- To proclaim liberty to those that are bound - Do you agree that there are selfish people in the world today? I agree! Why would you withhold revelations or relevant information that could alter someone’s life in an optimistic direction? We live in a world where people believe that God loves certain individuals more than some, this is not the truth. God loves all of us equally. God desire is for us to be selfless when it comes to sharing the undiluted The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners (Isaiah 61:1). Whenever we become born again the spirit of the Lord will ascend on us like a Dove. This means the spirit of the Lord begins to do His perfect work in and through us, so we can intern go in all the earth and speak what God has done. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). You were not SET FREE to be selfish, you were SET FREE to proclaim freedom. Are you? Keep in mind: Isaiah was not selfish!
- To impact the next generation - What does it mean to impact? According to the dictionary. Impact means to have a strong effect on someone or something. You have what it takes to leave a mark on the next generation. Have you forgotten that your chains are gone? Now is your time to live not for yourself but for your neighbour’s child who is probably watching you closely. God has given you the ability to touch lives everyday. It is up to you to use it in a way that will bring a dynamic shift in the atmosphere — One that when you die, others will come to Christ because of the legacy you created when you were living. Who told you, you need someone’s approval to make a difference? Their approval is not needed! For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
