To remain free is a choice all of us must decide to choose. God created each and everyone of us as choice beings. We have the right to select the narrow road or the wide road. The narrow road represents life and the wide road represents death. Where you desire to spend eternity depends on your choice, not your parents, friends and/or pastors. They can influence you, but you still have the power to pick.
God has already set you free, it is up to you to maintain your freedom. How can I maintain my freedom? You may ask. You must choose to: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27
But, how do I know I truly love God? There are four elements that one must depict when it comes to loving God. They are:
- Heart of worship
- Soul of worship
- Strength of worship
- Mind of worship
Demonstrating these four elements of worship is an indication that you have made the BEST decision ever, to love God will your entire being. How far will you go for the one that you love? Will you cross the ocean for such person? Take about 5 minutes and meditate on those questions? God’s love towards us is pure, and many times we take His love for granted by treating Him less than He deserves. Did you know that each time you go against His order you are saying to Him “what you did for me on that cross was useless?” Loving someone means you will do everything in your power to see them smile. How can I make Jesus smile? You make Him smile when you live His word in season and out of season. Love is more than words; love is an action word.
The love we possess for God will help us to love our neighbours as ourselves. Remain free by choosing to love God with all of YOU—not one foot in and the other out. Love Him indeed and in truth. If you love Me, you will keep My commands (John 14:15). How can I repay the Lord for all the good He has done for me?
I will take the cup of salvation
and call on the name of Yahweh. Psalm 116:12-13
Let us continue to be passionate about our salvation. What God did for us is beyond words—so let us make Him proud of us.
Thank you for joking us on our series called “SET FREE”. Shalom!
